Gather1 Romania exists to bring the hope of Christ to the homeless community in Bucharest through providing transitional housing, discipleship, and life-skills to men and women.
Background
In 1989, at the fall of communism in Romania, state-run orphanages collapsed, and thousands of children were left on their own. Many found their homes in the tunnels under the cities. We have witnessed the dark world of sex trafficking, drug addiction, and alcoholism that have now affected generations with HIV/AIDS, TB, Hepatitis, and other diseases.
What we do
Gather1 partners with Reluca Pahomi of Associate Homeless of Bucharest, Romania, and local churches to provide transitional housing and help for those coming out of this dark chaos.
The One
The Good Shepherd leaves the 99 sheep to find the one lost sheep. With that in mind, we purpose ourselves to search for the one, to stop for the one, love the one, and to help each one find their value, worth and identity.
